NDCTWS Student Liaison: Cailey Isaacson
We were fortunate enough to acquire not one, but two Student Liaisons for the coming year. These students serve on the executive board, attend board meetings, contact Student Chapter advisors and officers about upcoming chapter news and events, advocate for North Dakota TWS Student Chapters and student membership and much more!
Meet our UND-based student liaison: Cailey Isaacson
Cailey graduated from the University of North Dakota with a B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology in May 2022. She now pursuing a Ph.D. at UND and working with North Dakota Game and Fish to study wild turkeys in western North Dakota. While at UND, she served as president of the student chapter of the wildlife society from 2020 - 2022. During undergrad, she spent her summers locating grassland nesting ducks and survey prairie grouse in Grand Forks County. She is from St. Michael, Minnesota, but spent many fall weekends hunting ruffed grouse and white-tailed deer in northern Minnesota when growing up. Besides upland hunting, her hobbies include birding, fishing, wakeboarding, reading, and spending time in nature with friends and family. After graduate school, she wants to pursue a career in upland gamebird research. She looks forward to serving as Co-Student Liaison for the NDCTWS and increasing student involvement across the state.
