2023 Awards - Graduate Student Scholarship (Bethany Roberton)

We're continuing to celebrate our award winners! Please join us in congratulating these well-deserving students and professionals!

Student Awards: This is the second year the Board has asked students to nominate themselves by applying for a scholarship and demonstrating why they were deserving. We awarded two undergraduate and two graduate students this year.

Bethany Roberton is our Graduate Student scholarship recipient from North Dakota State University. Bethany’s research is focused on evaluating bee and floral composition in various grazing regimes. Bethany is described as someone who is constantly exploring new ideas, observations, and insights, both in terms of her research and her own professional development. Bethany has also ben an effective mentor of undergraduate students, one of NDCTWS past student liaisons, and most recently took on the role of Membership Coordinator for the Chapter.

In addition, Bethany took home first place in the graduate poster competition at the Annual Meeting!

We applaud her on both of these amazing accomplishments and are excited to get to work with her as the Chapters new Membership Coordinator!
